I bought the gallon of gas about 2 months ago from a Hoppy Shop. Since then, it has been stored in a basement. I will try a new glow plug.
How long does gas last and should I keep it in a heated spot?

Ditto on getting an experienced flier to help you. The experience of learing to fly will be so much more enjoyable, and your plane will last longer too! Enjoy and have fun.

I found the problem, it was a dirty/clogged fuel intake valve. I pulled the needle valve out of the motor and wiped it with a rag and used a pipe cleaner. replaced needle vavle and it started right up. I have flown it several times and one of the ailerons fell off in mid flight... Good thing I had an experienced flier helping me land.
